Shango, once known as StarView Solutions, is a cloud-based integration-platform-as-a-service (iPaaS) company that has signed a five-year agreement with the International Information Systems Group, known simply as the IIS Group, to work collaboratively on simplifying service orchestration and management for its retail base of VoIP customers. The agreement is meant to lower capital expenditures while focusing on the revenue gains and customer benefits.
With IIS Group being an industry-leader in data center experience and providing VoIP and IP (Internet Protocol) PBX (News - Alert) (Private Branch Exchange) systems, and Shango being one of the largest wholesale carriers in North America, the outcome of their five-year service agreement is likely to be successful; it will, in fact, help optimize and streamline third-party systems and cloud-based services, as well as bring users the best VoIP and IT solutions possible while allowing constant professional communication no matter where users are.
Combining companies creates a solution for ISS Group to manage and control its different systems. It is Shango’s Operations Systems Support (OSS) platform that provides a true cloud service. ISS Group agrees that Shango’s platform is a “cloud OSS” that is capable of working across several different architectures and platforms, providing provision and management of all aspects of being a VoIP service provider. They say Shango’s greatest value is offering a true cloud service that can make them not only a competitor in delivering hosted communications across all of the VoIP platforms, but able to provide the kind of service that customers appreciate.
With Shango’s ability to provide Software-as-a-Service (SaaS (News
- Alert)),public cloud Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and pre-built OSS integrated applications and API (Application Programming Interface), users have access to a marketplace of services. As seen by ISS Group, Shango has the solutions to provide API management and consolidation for Service Providers. The ISS Group agrees that Shango meets their requirements in having a solution that will provide activation and management of customer telephone numbers across disparate VoIP systems on a single platform. ISS Group says their agreement with Shango will not only be valuable for providing Internet Information Services (IIS) but it will strengthen customer support: from improving provisions and service activation times to reducing costs and increasing overall productivity for users.
