Twice a year, ITEXPO (News - Alert) provides a venue for all members of the IT value chain to come together and discuss recent developments in the market and where they think the space is headed next. In addition, the communication conference creates a great stage for companies to launch new products and roll out new services.
This is particularly true for foreign-based companies that are looking to introduce innovative technologies in the U.S. market. One of the headliners at this year's show, set to kick off tomorrow in Miami, will be Escene Communication, a Chinese-based designer and manufacturer of VoIP products like IP phones and IP-PBXs.
The company's specializes in enterprise-focused IP desktop phones, Wi-Fi phones and dual-mode models that provide access to both VoIP and PSTN networks. Escene also markets IP-based desktop phones for hotels.
With ITEXPO East 2012 just one day away, TMC (News - Alert) CEO Rich Tehrani reached out to Escene's general manager, Roland Song, to get a quick preview of what attendees will find at the company's ITEXPO booth.
Song says that the biggest advancement since last year's show is deeper integration with a platform called Cloud TC, which provides IP phones with hosted telephony applications like Remote Directory. The relationship enables Escene to offer richer next-gen functionality, he says.
Escene will also be introducing the SS620, an embedded server IP phone hosted solution that supports up to 100 SIP accounts.
"When the network linking or the SIP server breaks, the hosted IP Phones can be registered in the SS620 and continue with the internal call," he told Tehrani.
In addition, Escene will be showcasing the WS620 and the WS320, the company's new Wi-Fi desktop phones designed with corporate users in mind.
Song wrapped up the talk by issuing a strong prediction for 2012: He believes that the hosted IP telephony market will become strong enough to overtake the traditional PSTN market and "expedite the end of the old PBX and Gateway (News
- Alert)."
Head to booth 713 at ITEXPO East 2012 to check out the new lineup of IP phones from Escene.
