Voxbone Reports 19 Percent IP PBX Revenue Growth in 2011

Vendors dealing with Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) communications solutions have seen increased business activity even during the economic slump. Many of them have reported increased revenue growth, mainly driven by the industry’s need for a cost-effective communications solution to reduce the financial strain induced by the recession.

Voxbone, a provider of worldwide geographical, toll-free and iNum (News - Alert) telephone numbers to operators and enterprises, has reported 19 percent increase in revenue and 33 percent rise in network traffic in 2011 as compared with 2010.

Despite global business slowdown in many parts of the world, the company experienced strong and regular year-after-year growth in VoIP communications primarily due to increase in demand from existing customers, company officials said.

Voxbone, which enables Internet communications providers, global carriers, national operators and enterprises to increase their presence of voice services, has also reported new business wins from the fastest growing telecom operators.

"Personally, it's very satisfying to realize the dream we had for Voxbone (News - Alert) in starting the company in 2005," said CEO Rod Ullens, in a statement. "The progress we have seen since our start and the magnitude of the customers we continue to attract, especially in recent years, firmly indicates that Voxbone has achieved a reputation for quality in the global telecoms market."

"We're seeing indications of accelerated adoption of cloud communications services in a number of areas that lead us to project major demand in wholesale VoIP services. As the technological bridge between cloud communications networks and traditional PSTN and mobile networks, Voxbone should have a great 2012."

Voxbone has expanded its global presence by incorporating its subsidiary in the U.S. The company also appointed business development executives in North America and Southeast Asia. Moreover, it opened office in Mumbai, and extended services in Vietnam.

Deploying its own network infrastructure in Germany, Luxemburg and Spain was a significant development for the company which was selected by the United Nations to implement the UN's own unique country code for disaster relief: +888.

Recently, Voxbone announced the launch of VoxTRUNK that helps multinational companies reduce cost and complexity of purchasing capacity. The new offering simplifies management of inbound voice services of multinational companies that have the option to purchase global voice channels.
