IP-PBX (News - Alert) systems are replacing traditional CPE-based systems. These IP-based systems function as an all-in-one platform for delivering hosted VoIP services to enterprises.
IPsmarx (News - Alert) Technology, a provider of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) applications for the carrier and enterprise, recently launched RAPID IP-PBX system for resellers and installers looking to deliver hosted VoIP services to the SMB market.
The IP-PBX solution allows service providers to better administer, deploy and manage their hosted VoIP offerings. It enables resellers that hosted VoIP can offer the service without worrying about the costly infrastructure costs associated with traditional offerings.
"RAPID IP-PBX allows traditional telephony resellers to support their customers from the Cloud, with no on-site hardware to purchase, manage, or maintain," said Arash Vahidnia, president and CEO of IPsmarx, in a statement. "This solution is a complete Service Provider package, opening the doors to new business and new revenue streams delivering much more than just phone systems."
The hosted IP-PBX provides all the features of unified communications (UC) offered by an advanced telephony system. It also includes an integrated billing solution to deliver call-based accounting, a complete ecommerce solution, an invoicing package, and an optional integrated smartphone application.
RAPID IP-PBX platform and Service Provider Suite is available from 888VoIP, a supplier of IP-PBXs and VoIP communication products. The service is offered as a special introductory offer for a 25-user system. The company also offers cost-effective plans including an extensive call center package and an enhanced routing package that includes Least Cost Routing (LCR), Hunt-Stop and Route Suspension and Multi-Dial Plans.
The IP-PBX offer is also available as a Redundancy package and a custom branded mobile VoIP application called Breeze designed for smartphones.
“Early VoIP service providers’ infrastructures were ‘homegrown’ combining multiple technologies that inevitably got unwieldy to manage,” said Brad Pitt, President of 888VoIP. “RAPID IP-PBX comes at a critical time for those faced with paying large sums of money for billing software and softswitch products or for those just looking to break into the cloud based hosted VoIP market.”
Earlier in December, TMCnet reported that Global PBX /KTS phone system revenue grew 5.5 percent sequentially in 3Q11 to $2.15 billion, reversing the sequential declines from the first two quarters of the year, according to market analyst firm Infonetics Research.
The report notes that businesses have continued to migrate to IP-based phone systems, evinced by the revenue split in 3Q11: Hybrid IP PBXs make up nearly 2/3 of global revenue; pure IP PBXs continue to grow as a proportion of the market, now making up nearly 1/3 and growing; TDM PBXs continue to decline overall.
