The company recently announced that Radware's Alteon 10000 application delivery controller (ADC (News - Alert)) platform had received the 2011 INTERNET TELEPHONY Product of the Year Award from Technology Marketing Corporation .
In a release, Nir Ilani, Product Marketing Director, Application Delivery, Radware, said, "Today's Internet service providers and wire-line carriers are facing profound shifts in their business models due to dynamic growth in data traffic and new levels of connections and users concurrency requirements, which is driving network infrastructure transformations. The Alteon 10000, targeted at high-end next-generation data centers, fully ensures the high-availability and fast performance of carrier's high-touch network infrastructure services -- such as Diameter, SIP, DNS and more -- as well as various value added services, optimization proxies, video streaming and other over-the-top premium services that generate revenues and yield higher ARPU for the providers."
Radware's Alteon 10000 is a carrier-grade ADC that has been created on a modular, Advanced Telecommunications Computing Architecture (ATCA) chassis and is fashioned to handle the heaviest of requirements and regulations that pertain to the carrier sector.
It is powered by a high end customized hardware platform and promises a unique and improved user experience as well as quick response time for Internet services, in addition to value added services, and carriers' core IT applications.

The Alteon 10000 provides on-demand, extendable throughput going as high as 80 Gbps of application delivery capacity. With this, it has the ability to handle up to 480 fully-isolated and virtual ADCs (vADC) instances.
