UTTC, a global telco CIS distributor, is broadening its commercial and technology offerings by adding Mitel’s (News - Alert) Unified Communications (UC) software solutions to its portfolio.
A newly established representative office, headed by Alex Volynsky, has been set up in Moscow to expand the availability of Mitel’s solutions under license and also integrate value-added applications from companies affiliated with Wesley Clover (News - Alert) International Corporation.
“We are pleased to welcome UTTC as a Mitel value-added distributor in the CIS region, as the two companies share important synergies in the area of voice, data and video convergence solutions,” said Volynsky, in a press release.
This synergistic partnership between both the companies, said Volynsky, will help address needs of businesses and deliver UC and collaboration solutions that are tailored to meet the specified requirements of customers.
He also noted that UTTC would have access to Mitel training and promotional programs and also benefit from the Mitel European Certification.
Mitel delivers business agility , reduces the cost and complexity of communication and collaboration in any organization, can be deployed in virtualized environments and has a platform that is network and device-agnostic, according to company officials.
“By offering Mitel software solutions, UTTC can significantly expand the range and scale of communications services and applications to key customers,” said Graham Bevington, vice president of International Markets at Mitel, in a statement.
Bevington believed that with opportunities in the UC market growing across the CIS region, the deal with UTTC would ensure that an increasing number of companies will benefit from Mitel’s Freedom architecture.
Lev Tolmachev, commercial director at UTTC was also highly positive about the agreement and regarded it as a significant milestone for the company.
