Critical Links Intensifies Focus on German Market

Critical Links (News - Alert), a global provider of unified voice, data and IT solutions for small and medium business (SMBs), has introduced a graphical user interface (GUI) in the German language for its edgeBOX office-in-a-box.

This new GUI allows configuring and provisioning of the various features of the edgeBOX using German, enabling German speaking VARS and end-users to install the product easily and rapidly.

This GUI is the latest effort to make the edgeBOX even more user-friendly to its customers.

The secure Web-based GUI enables customers to manage their edgeBOX remotely, and provides an easy-to-use Unified Management Interface that allows non-IT experts to configure all aspects of the system. Processes such as adding new users that typically involve configuring a multitude of devices and services takes just a few minutes through the edgeBOX management interface.

In addition to German, the edgeBOX offers GUIs in English, Portuguese and Chinese. More languages are expected to be introduced in the future.

The edgeBOX provides a full-fledged IP telephony system, smoothly integrated with e-mail, contact database, calendars, security, VPN, file sharing, and more. The voice and data services integration improves employee productivity, simplifies installation, maintenance and upgrades, and dramatically reduces equipment, communications, and maintenance costs for SMBs.

It is available on a range of scalable platforms for companies from 10 to 300 users. edgeBOX can be fully managed remotely through a simple browser, which makes it specially suited for system integrators that want to get into the business of providing managed services to SMB customers.

“We are seeing strong demand for the edgeBOX in the German market, and to ensure continued traction in this important geography, we are tailoring our solution to adapt to the specific needs of this customer base,” said Abdul Kasim (News - Alert), vice president, global marketing and business development, Critical Links.

“Our new German language GUI greatly simplifies the interaction with edgeBOX for our German-speaking customers while offering sophisticated technical capabilities, which is a core objective for us. Our intent is to similarly support the GUI in additional languages in the future, and enhance the customer experience across the globe,” added Kasim.
