Zultys Releases MXmeeting

Zultys has announced the release of MXmeeting, a next-generation collaboration solution that combines voice, desktop Web interaction, instant messaging, virtual meeting rooms, online presentations, training and demos all under one umbrella.

MXmeeting builds on Zultys’ (News - Alert) IP-PBX portfolio that supports integrated call handling, voice mail, gateways, presence, and instant messaging servers for up to 10,000 users. In addition, company officials said it is a natural extension to its existing call recording offering and its interactions can be captured for future playback and sharing.

Using MXmeeting companies can provide Web conferencing, remote PC support, remote PC access and Web seminars with an integrated audio conferencing service. Officials said that both PC and Mac client devices are supported and no download is required.

The Web conferencing is designed to help companies during sales presentations, product demos, online training and interactive collaboration, while the remote support offers remote control of customers’ PC or Mac desktops with remote reboot and file transfer.

MXmeeting also provides remote access to office and home computers. The Web conferencing platform does not require attendees to download when signing up for Web seminars, officials said. The company “guarantees attendance in five seconds” with any kind of Internet browser including iPhone (News - Alert).

MXmeeting is integrated with MXIE, Zultys’ unified communications client. Officials said that Zultys MXmeeting is available by adding an appliance to an existing MX250 or MX30 offering.

MXmeeting is available through company’s network of solution resellers.

Zultys products allow organizations in over 110 countries and 19 languages to deploy integrated communications systems that scale to 10,000 users.

The Zultys Media EXchange Interface for End Users (MXIE) can be launched directly from XP, Vista or Mac desktop. According to company officials, it also provides access to Softphone, voicemail, IM, presence, internal chat, email, fax and more.

Through a click of the desktop configuration, the desktop tool can be connected to either the built-in softphone or a traditional handset. Officials said that this “binding” allows a user’s license and profile on the IP PBX (News - Alert) to be connected to a handset anywhere in the network.

MXIE provides a single interface for all users and also a single login for user, operator and ACD agent roles. Officials said that each role can appear together on a single desktop display. Plus with MXIE, users can also make, answer, terminate, and transfers calls directly from the desktop.
