SKyPRO Intros VoIP Calling Solution, Integrates with Asterisk Open Source Server


SKyPRO AG reportedly has announced that its so-called “SKyCOM Unified Communications (News - Alert)” application that integrates with Novell GroupWise to provide VoIP for voice and messaging communications.

 
SKyCOM VoIP unified communications, integrated with Novell (News - Alert) GroupWise, allows companies to improve employee productivity and lower communications costs. With SkyCOM, companies can compete more effectively in the current economic climate without sacrificing competitive strengths.
 
The solution increases users’ productivity, as they use a PC as the single interface for all communications. GroupWise integration enables the user to track all communications and use GroupWise as a simple CRM tool.
 
SKyPRO will work with existing VoIP server hardware from vendors such as Cisco or with the Asterisk (News - Alert) Open Source telephony server. With Asterisk telephony server and SKyCOM, it becomes possible for companies to cut on large investments for an IP-PBX or IP Phones.
 
“In today’s challenging economic climate, companies all over the world need to cut costs and improve user productivity to stay competitive. SKyCOM enables all GroupWise users to achieve these goals without causing disruptions,” said Horst Fuhrmann, President of SKyPRO.
 
According to Frank Martin, chief financial officer at of GlobeTac, companies can no longer survive on the market without services such as email or VoIP, like the SKyPRO client, which have established themselves as the new methods of communications.
 
For John Lincoln, Director of IT at almabani General Contractors, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, SKyCOM complements the existing GroupWise platform ideally.
 
“SKyCOM extends GroupWise to provide VoIP phone calls directly from your Mailbox. SKyCOM can make phone calls from your PC with up to 7 participants and the access to your existing GroupWise contact data as well as an abundance of additional features that enhances user productivity,” Lincoln said. “ SKyCOM will definitely improve our communications between our head office and job sites all over the Middle East.”
