Alert) building blocks. These new versions are mapped to the PICMG 3.0 Revision 3.0 ATCA Base Specification directly.
“The growing number of Network Equipment Providers turning to the ATCA form factor demand that building blocks from multiple suppliers are interoperable,” said Nirlay Kundu, CP-TA compliance chairman.
“The TPM and ICD documents are being used today by many commercial-off-the-shelf ATCA building block suppliers to ensure their products are interoperable across the industry. These documents, along with accompanying test tools, are proven to significantly reduce integration time and provide a cost and time-to-market advantage,” Kundu said.
CP-TA conducted a demonstration using the TPM and ICD documents and corresponding test tools for integrating building blocks for an IPTV (

Alert) system. This took less time than what it takes to integrate non-tested building blocks for the same system configuration.

All the test procedures have been described in detail and mapped with the requirement numbers in the PICMG specification.
