VegaStream Introduces New Line of VoIP Gateways

Berkshire, U.K. - based VoIP gateways provider, VegaStream has introduced its new line of Europa Gateways which incorporate an ADSL modem and an Open Applications Server. The new gateways are designed to streamline the cost of deployment of VoIP services.

The Open Applications Server incorporated in the new server can host a range of solutions including IP PBXs (News - Alert) such as pbxnsip and Asterisk. The server is also interoperable with both Linux and Windows applications and is more effective and easier to install when compared to a distributed solution.

"Since the VegaStream Europa Gateway (News - Alert) was released, it has quickly become the de facto choice for channel partners and Service Providers for connecting customers to VoIP services," commented Steve Davis VP Sales & Marketing at VegaStream.

"The introduction of these new developments will further enhance our position as the market leader for VOIP gateways. We have had a lot of very positive feedback from our customers and applications providers".

The new gateway and its built-in Open Application Server have been very well received by VegaStream's enterprise customers.

Jonathan Greenwood, CEO of pbxnsip (News - Alert) Europe Ltd, a provider of SIP-based PBX communication systems said, “I was delighted that the integration of the pbxnsip system worked so well with the Open Application Server built into the Europa gateway. This gives a far better solution for channel partners as it reduces costs and makes it far easier to install”.

Since 1998, VegaStream has been ensuring interoperability between proprietary telephone systems and new IP networks. The company has a proven track record in offering VoIP Gateways for voice traffic between a customer’s telephone equipment, VoIP networks and PSTN.

VegaStream’s solutions are not only interoperable with all major communications, PBX manufacturers and Internet Telephony (News - Alert) providers but also support SIP and H.323 VoIP over analogue and digital lines, including all ISDNs.

TMCnet also recently reported that VegaStream completed interoperability testing with an IP PBX (News - Alert) offered by 3CX.
