Speakeasy reportedly has joined the ADTRAN Alliance Program and together they’ll provide Speakeasy’s SIP trunking solutions with ADTRAN’s NetVanta 7000 converged IP-PBX (News - Alert) platform to enable customers, especially small and medium businesses, to build end-to-end communications systems with an emphasis on VoIP and data exchange.
“Speakeasy and ADTRAN are working together to help provide the telecommunications solutions that ultimately help small businesses to communicate more efficiently and at a lower cost, regardless of their legacy telecom systems,” said Bruce Chatterley (News - Alert), president and chief executive officer at Speakeasy.
“We’ve created the ADTRAN Alliance Program to help identify best-of-breed technology providers that are particularly equipped to address the network issues and challenges facing our customers today,” said Tim Saunders, vice president of product management at ADTRAN’s “Enterprise Networks Division.”
Speakeasy’s solution integrates smoothly with the customer’s existing IT infrastructure and provides combined voice and data exchanges routed through a Private Branch eXchange that provides compatibility and acceptance for a variety of telecommunication modes of transmission besides SIP trunking such as Digital Signal 1 for 24 eight bit channels to transport 64 kilo bits per second (kbit/s) each, Channel Associated Signalling for indicating call status, and Integrated Services Digital Network with a Primary Rate interface for communication exchanges of 2048 kbit/s.
“Direct SIP integration is Speakeasy’s newest voice and data offering, and joining the ADTRAN Alliance Program made perfect strategic sense for us in terms of extending our reach into the market,” Chatterley said.
The NetVanta 7000 provides a comprehensive VoIP with data networking solution for small, medium and large enterprises that have 50 or less remote locations, IP-PBX, voicemail, programmable automatic services attendant, a 24 port Power over Ethernet switch, IP router, Virtual Private Network and in-built security all one single device.
“Outstanding companies like ADTRAN with their award-winning solutions, help to validate ITEXPO’s (News - Alert) status as the leading forum in the communications industry,” said TMC President and Conference Chairman, Rich Tehrani.
The union between Speakeasy and ADTRAN is in keeping with one of the seven mantras of the time, as reported by TMC, which dictates that companies must make serious efforts to reach out and collaborate with each other. The seven guidelines for succeeding in current economic environment are collectively called the CES (News - Alert) 7 and were pronounced and initiated by Sir Howard Stringer, Sony’s president and CEO at the Consumer Electronics Show 2009.
“Together with companies like Speakeasy, we are empowering our customers by giving them the necessary tools to build an end-to-end communications network best suited to their needs,” Saunders said.
