In less than five full years of operation,
Junction Networks reportedly has reached the 50 millionth call placed on its OnSIP hosted business-communications platform.
The OnSIP hosted PBX (

The service never charges per-user fees, and virtual PBX phone numbers are available throughout the 48 contiguous states, allowing the company to port a client’s number from its current provider.
The 50 millionth call was places by
STORServer, a technology company in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Officials from that company say they were looking for reliable, flexible, cost-effective and easy-to-use business communications system. In the past, STOServer’s employees had individual accounts with a consumer VoIP services provider, coupled with a hardware PBX at headquarters, so that every phone in headquarters would ring when a call came. A receptionist then used an intercom system to announce the incoming call and the name of the employee for whom call was meant.
Junction Networks (

OnSIP from Junction Networks helps STORServer to directly dial or transfer the calls to each employee’s four-digit extension no matter where the employee may be located. It also allows headquarters employees to bridge seamlessly to their home offices.
In July, the company was
selected by
Microsoft as a preferred SIP trunking and gateway service provider for its Microsoft (

The Response Point Service Pack 1 will feature services from Junction Networks pre-configured for simple account activation and maintenance, the companies say. According to Microsoft, the SIP-based voice service from Junction Networks is pre-configured in the Response Point Administrator software.
