Arvig Communication Systems, a telecommunications firm providing service to more than 40,000 access lines in northwestern Minnesota, has
selected ADC’s RealFlex reduced bend radius fiber drop cable solutions for fiber-to-the-home deployments in northwestern Minnesota communities.
Officials at ACS said they chose ADC (

“We wanted to improve the reliability and service delivery time for our customers,” said Andy Klinnert, director of network operations for ACS (

According to ADC officials, RealFlex drop cables allow for a bend radius as small as 7.5 mm without changing attenuation characteristics of the cable, and they provide improved insertion loss performance for the many 90-degree bend locations found in building environments.
“ADC is leading provider of FTTH solutions that help independent carriers meet the growing demand for broadband services in today’s digital world,” said Jaxon Lang, vice president of Global Connectivity Solutions, Americas for ADC.
Lang said that the long term reliability and reduced installation cost benefits of the RealFlex solutions are key reasons why operators continue to select ADC’s FTTX products with Reduced Bend Radius Fiber (RBRF), which have been available since November 2006.
ADC provides the connections for wireline, wireless, cable, broadcast, and enterprise networks around the world.
The company’s network infrastructure equipment and professional services enable high-speed Internet, data, video, and voice services to residential, business and mobile subscribers. ADC in April had
announced that the
Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago has deployed its InterReach Fusion in-building cellular systems to provide clear and consistent cellular coverage for staff, visitors, and guests at the Chicago landmark.
