Media5 Inks Development Deal with VoIP's Comdasys

Media5 Corporation, which develops advanced Multi-Media over Internet Protocol products, technologies and services, announced a development partnership with Comdasys, a Munich-based company that provides VoIP, Ethernet and fixed mobile convergence networking appliances for use by enterprises and service providers.

The partnership will enable both companies to design, develop and distribute a variety of telecommunications products and solutions including the new Media5Boss-Mobility, a powerful all-in-one solution for secure fixed mobile convergence, for strategic market segments globally, officials said.

Comdasys provides integrated mobile convergence solutions for enterprises and service providers. These solutions interoperate with all major IP-PBX (News - Alert) and are network agnostic. Comdasys also offers network appliances for enterprises and hosted IP scenarios that support secure and scalable deployment of converged IP communications.

The company’s Convergence and Convergence GW provide integrated, secure and scalable solutions for branch office connectivity, hosted service applications with applications such as analog and digital gateway, call admission control, office survivability and session border control, officials said.

“Media5 Corporation will quickly become an important ally in responding to our fast growing inquiries coming in from around the world,” said Martin Bitzinger (News - Alert), CTO of Comdasys, in a statement. “Media5’s technical capabilities and worldwide market reach align seamlessly with our own growth plans and we are convinced they are the ideal development partner for us at this time.”

Media5 Corporation (News - Alert) develops advanced, secure, and survivable MMoIP products, technologies and services for service providers and enterprise networks. Media5 products and solutions are widely interoperable and have received commercial endorsement from some of the world’s leading manufacturers of telecommunications equipment as well as from large telecommunication carriers, according to company officials.

After this agreement, Media 5 said, it will continue to offer its Mediatrix VoIP access devices and gateways, designed for the enterprise, SOHO, and service providers markets.  It will also offer M5T hardware and secure software technologies, designed for the chipset manufacturers, equipment vendors, and service providers developing applications and products for real-time multimedia communications over IP. Another important offering includes Media5Boss, an all-in-one suite of solutions designed for security and survivability in multi-site, branch office environments.

According to Philippe Babin, general manager of Media5 Corporation, the partnership with Comdasys (News - Alert) will enable the company to continue to drive toward the most cost-effective ways to grow and innovate. “Comdasys AG has proven its capabilities to be a leader in the field of telecommunications and we are delighted to continue working with them.”

Media 5 Corporation also announced that its Media5-Fone SIP client is now interoperable with pbxnsip’s award-winning SIP-based IP-PBX, TMCnet reported. With this interoperability, Media5-Fone SIP client has become “an assured, reliable, seamless solution for iPhone (News - Alert) application developers and will take away the labor and expertise once needed to test and implement PBX and SIP Client solutions,” officials said.
