pbxnsip Launches Professional Services Support Portal

To meet the rapid growth of the pbxnsip (News - Alert) channel, SIP-based IP PBX software player pbxnsip today announced it launched a Professional Services department and online support portal.

The new support infrastructure within the Professional Services portal comes as partners expressed a need for a comprehensive support platform primarily for ticket tracking, technical and sales knowledge base and online technical advice, the company said. The firm experienced such a strong growth, it needed to launch a technical helpdesk and professional services department to support channel partners and customers, pbxnsip said.

That’s good news given the weak economy when many businesses are downsizing, or eliminating services all together because business has dropped off.

“It’s been surprising to me, to see the growth of pbxnsip in such an economic climate as we are seeing,” Kevin Moroz (News - Alert) COO at pbxnsip Inc., said in a statement. “With Professional Services, we will be much better equipped to handle the next steps of our plans to expand into other areas.”

Historically, the company depended on its wiki and forum for support, but many users didn’t like the idea of using forums for assistance, Jonathan Greenwood, CEO at pbxnsip Europe Ltd. said in a statement. What’s more, many people were turned off by the concept of the wiki, he said.

“Professional Services has utilized all of our knowledge and documented this into an easy-to-read and follow plain English reference point, this accompanied by technical assistance means that we will be able to support our users much more comprehensively,” Greenwood added.
The software company made headlines recently when it selected Top System as its software distributor for the Belgium, France, Luxembourg and Morocco telephony markets. As TMCnet reported, pbxnsip and Top System, a software house that specializes in developing and distributing software applications, implemented an integrated IP PBX (News - Alert) modular system with the Top System Avonca product in that region.

The company also rolled out new Leeds and London training suites to meet the growing queries from from partners and resellers for advanced IP PBX, VoIP, SIP and Microsoft (News - Alert) product training solutions, TMCnet said.
