"This is the first European distribution agreement for Positron Telecom," said Richard McGravie, president of Positron Telecom.
McGravie said that it provides the European region with direct access to a wide range of premier products in the Asterisk/VoIP market such as the PBX (

He said that Mapleleaf is known for their strength and experience in distribution for the Asterisk/VoIP market and that this partnership offers strong support for businesses in this region.
The Asterisk/VoIP market is rapidly growing and further increasing the demand for simplified, easy-to-install solutions.
This trend is driven by companies who are required to lower their costs while increasing the functionality of their voice systems.
However, many of today's telephony solutions were architected over five years ago and struggle to blend within the IP world.
Positron Telecom claims that it breaks down that barrier with their solution which integrates the PBX, incorporates telephony and IP ports and installs as an Ethernet adapter, makes it operating system independent and requiring no additional drivers.
The distribution of Positron Telecom's products by Mapleleaf Technologies allows European companies to achieve this telephony transformation.
Back in May, Positron announced the release of the V-114 PCI adapter, the first commercially available embedded PBX PCI adapter based on the open source Linux Project, Asterisk.
The V-114 offers a standalone solution that integrates Linux, Asterisk and Telephony ports all on a single PCI adapter that installs simply and easily into any operating system as an Ethernet adapter.
