MyFax Marks 300,000 Subscribers

MyFax, the flagship product of Software-as-a-Service provider Protus, reportedly has surpassed 300,000 subscribers. According to the company, its major customers are located in industries such as finance, insurance, real estate, healthcare, transportation and government.

Companies and government agencies send lots of faxes every day and, invariably, these faxes need a dedicated phone line and fax machine. If the number of faxes to be sent is too high, they may jam the phone line and cause unnecessary delay in sending the fax. Then, the fax machine can itself cause various problems causing further delay and expenses.

To avoid all these problems, MyFax (News - Alert) sends and receives faxes using an e-mail account for individual and companies for a fee. Enabling the users to manage their fax communication and corresponding document management workflow more efficiently and at a lower cost, the service works well with Microsoft Office, IBM (News - Alert) Lotus Notes and ACT!.

“The fact that we have reached 300,000 subscribers represents an incredible achievement, and I attribute it to a superior product and to a staff that’s committed to impeccable customer service,” said Joseph Nour (News - Alert), chief executive officer of Protus. “Every day we strive to make MyFax an effective tool and positive experience for our customers. The numbers don’t lie. Our continually increasing number of subscribers validates we are meeting and exceeding our goals.”

MyFax has earned various other awards that include Customer Service Management Team of the Year and the Customer Service Department of the Year categories in the third annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service. MyFax has also bagged four Gold Awards from TopTenREVIEWS, an Internet publisher of expert technology and entertainment reviews seen by millions of consumers.

Recently, Protus announced that it successfully integrated its Campaigner email marketing service into its SaaS (News - Alert) business communications suite that includes its IP technology standalone and tools such asMyFax and my1voice, a VoIP Private Branch eXchange – or IP-PBX (News - Alert) – product. Protus strategically acquired Campaigner in 2008 to broaden its SaaS communications offerings.
