CallMation, a software developer of test automation software, has introduced WerkMATE, which offers a multi-vendor, multi-device automated test environment.
Terry Caterisano, president and CEO at CallMation, said that WerkMATE, as a testing tool, offers “enormous flexibility” by enabling automated testing across diverse test equipment.
Designed for organizations needing equipment and software testing, WerkMATE is a patent-pending automated testing framework solution that works with any Web browser and eliminates the need to install or maintain client software.
The company notes the offering is the only Web-based system that allows developers and testers to manage and automate multiple test scripts for voice over Internet protocol (VoIP), IP multimedia system (IMS), Internet protocol television (IPTV (

Alert)), public switched telephone network (PSTN), and Wireless devices, 24x7, on virtually any vendors’ test equipment, with any Internet browser-capable device.
In addition to controlling test equipment from major test equipment vendors, WerkMATE can also incorporate their proprietary solutions onto one platform and into one central repository.
Company officials said that with this latest offering, testers can access, monitor, and control the many devices under test (DUT) and devices involved in test (DIT), via telnet, SSH and Web GUIs. Also, they can perform concurrent tests and gather results across multiple devices.
Moreover, WerkMATE also centralizes the scripts, test results and other valuable data in a single database - allowing testers to organize, search, share, reuse, and easily export to standard formats including PDF, XLS, CSV, XML and HTML.
“The added complexity of telecom device software and increased time-to-market pressures are driving test managers to leverage commercially developed test solutions like WerkMATE,” said Caterisano.
