IP PBX Vendor Zultys Rolls Out Line of Media Gateways

In response to requests from resellers and customers, Zultys Inc., which makes a line of compact, all-in-one IP PBXs delivering unified communications features and capabilities, has unveiled a new line of media gateways that customers can use to expand their existing phone systems.

The new media gateways, geared for small to medium sized businesses, are designed for connecting remote or home-based offices to a company’s main office. They support outgoing and incoming calls to the PSTN and offer extension to extension dialing as well as transfer and hold capability.

The new gateways support standard analog phones, thus enabling inexpensive deployments in places like healthcare, education, hospitality or anywhere where a standard phone is needed.

The new media gateways come in the following configurations:

--MG4/S: SIP gateway with 4 circuits of subscriber side interface
--MG8/S: SIP gateway with 8 circuits of subscriber side interface
--MG4/O: SIP gateway with 4 circuits of exchange side interface
--MG8/O: SIP gateway with 8 circuits of exchange side interface
--MG8/SO: SIP gateway with 4 circuits of subscriber side interface and 4 circuits of exchange side interface
--MG24/S: High density SIP gateway with 24 circuits of subscriber side interface
--MG48/S: High density SIP gateway with 48 circuits of subscriber side interface

Zultys’ (News - Alert) solutions support Mac, Windows 32 or 64 Bit or Linux users and integrate features including soft-phone, find me-follow me, presence, secure chat, tele-worker support, inbound contact center, IVR, ACD, call recording, fax origination/termination, cell phone twinning and more.

Zultys made news earlier this month when it introduced its new MXmobile unified communications client for BlackBerry (News - Alert) devices. MXmobile, which will be available in the fourth quarter of this year, “pushes” productivity-enhancing features like presence, visual voicemail, internal extension dialing and corporate directory access out to BlackBerry mobile devices. Other advanced features include single number contact, least cost routing (which automatically routes calls using the lowest cost call path); call alerts; and access to call handling rules.
