Integrated Research has announced availability of PROGNOSIS VoIP Monitor Release 2 to all Avaya (

Alert) IP telephony customers. It is available as an upgrade for existing VoIP Monitor users and also as a standalone download from the VoiceQuality.com Web site. Version 2 incorporates new features and more enhanced functionality.
According to a press release, the PROGNOSIS VoIP Monitor Release 2 includes an entitlement license as a major product enhancement. This provides monitoring of the first 250 phones for all Avaya customers which does not depend on the total number of phones in the Avaya environment.
The Monitor is purpose built to monitor voice quality in Avaya IP telephony environments. It includes features of Avaya VMM, and ensures monitoring of real-time voice quality, gateway and device status. It also includes phone registrations, call attempts and completion features and deep diagnostics for trouble shooting.
Environment licenses for up to 250 phones is available for customers who are desirous of monitoring multiple PBXs, IP trunks and all PBX (

The new version also incorporates support for alerts through SNMP traps and the availability of RTCP-only monitoring in cases where SAT connections are not configured.
