A new server-based solution called the eConn IP-PBX unveiled by eOn Communications (
News -
Alert) Corp. today at the VoiceCon show in San Francisco offers a range of telephony applications for companies with 10 to 1,000 employees.
The product, which is based on commercial off-the-shelf hardware and a Linux operating system, includes a GUI for system administration, flexible ACD routing for up to 576 local and remote agents, and multisite networking based on TDM or IP-QSIQ. It also can be combined with eOn’s eConn IP Messenger platform for unified communications and unified messaging.

Alert) works with the company’s eOn eNterprise 7000 Series IP telephones, audio conferencing units, analog sets and third-party SIP-based devices.
