VoIP Unlimited provides business grade SIP trunking services to a U.K.-based channel of IT solution companies, system integrators and traditional telephony providers. The company is said to be the first ITSP in Europe to have undergone interoperability testing with Switchvox.
Digium (

He said that Digium’s seen strong interest in Asterisk and Switchvox by U.K. customers recently as they look to save money while gaining VoIP features and integrating voice with other business communications. “We think VoIP Unlimited is an ideal partner for bringing these benefits to U.K. businesses.”
The Asterisk (

“We have already started working with Digium resellers and customers in the UK, offering our business-grade SIP trunk service,” Steve Bieniek, sales director at VoIP Unlimited, said.
Based on Digium’s open source Asterisk platform, software and IT support companies have been developing IP PBX (

Bieniek said that in the current economic climate, end users are looking to reduce costs where possible and moving to SIP-based technologies is just one way of achieving that. “Cost savings can be immediate-compare the rental costs of 4 ISDN lines against a flat fee of GBP10.99 month we offer for unlimited SIP channels,” Bieniek said.
“Digium clearly demonstrates they have listened to the market and built features within Switchvox to make this happen effectively,” he added.
