The CallRex Call Recording for Office Communications Server allows users to record calls encrypted with Secure Real-Time Transport Protocol, or “SRTP,” and can record calls from hard or soft phones setup within the OCS environment. Users can benefit fully from the OCS’ built-in call encryption features and also realize the profits of call recording for their business.
CallRex is a software-only solution that can run on Windows-based servers and does not require additional proprietary hardware, expensive telephony cards or complex installations. To record calls within the OCS environment, CallRex collects call information for soft phone on the desktop and passively copies the information via a CallRex plug-in to a central call recording server.

The subscription-based licenses include access to technical support, maintenance, and all product upgrades throughout the life of the subscription contract. Though the CallRex software is offered on a subscription basis it is not a hosted solution.
