Broadvox SIP Trunking Achieves Interoperability with Digium Switchvox UC Solution

Broadvox, a Dallas-based provider of IP communications services for businesses, and Digium, the Asterisk company, announced that Broadvox is now certified interoperable with Digium’s (News - Alert) Switchvox SMB business communications system.

Interoperability certification lets resellers deliver unified communications solutions to SMBs looking for less expensive options to integrate phones, e-mail, chat, video and the Internet.
Broadvox (News - Alert) offers cost-effective IP communications solutions to SMBs through SIP Trunking, while Digium’s Switchvox delivers advanced unified communications capabilities for a fraction of the cost of traditional systems.

When companies deploy Broadvox GO SIP Trunking, they can save up to 70 percent on their monthly telecom costs over traditional TDM, the company said. In addition, businesses can boost productivity with features and functions available with SIP. And with Switchvox SMB, organizations can benefit from fax integration, video calling and IVR functions for building custom applications.

Broadvox offers SIP Trunking solutions to SMBs and enterprises via a private network that is customized to meet the businesses needs, no matter what infrastructure they have. GO SIP Trunking products feature unlimited local calling, discounted international, long distance and toll-free calling.

“Digium’s Switchvox is an ideal communications solution for discriminating SMBs that need a professional phone system,” David Byrd (News - Alert), vice president of marketing and sales at Broadvox said in a statement. “Switchvox is designed to be easy for SMBs to use and manage and using Switchvox with GO! SIP Trunking delivers a communication solution that can help businesses better communicate with customers. Switchvox SMB is more than an IP PBX (News - Alert), it is a Web-aware unified communications solution.”

Switchvox SMB doesn’t require extra hardware to connect to SIP trunks. It also supports PSTN connectivity to give customers greater flexibility when migrating to IP communications, officials said.

“Used together, Broadvox’s award-winning GO! SIP Trunking and Switchvox deliver an innovative communications solution to SMBs. The premium call quality delivered through the expertly engineered Broadvox network helps SMBs take full advantage of the features of Switchvox,” Bill Miller (News - Alert), vice president of product management at Digium, said in a statement. “With Broadvox SIP Trunking and Switchvox, SMBs can integrate their communications systems with web applications in a truly unique way.”
