Zultys Launches 5.2 UC Solution with BlackBerry Integration, Conference Bridge

Zultys, a leading manufacturer of IP-PBX (News - Alert) phone equipment for the SME market, is demonstrating the main features of the latest version of its MX Release 5.2 unified communications solution for the MX30 and MX250 IP PBXs this week at ITEXPO (News - Alert) East 2010.

In an interview at the Miami Beach Convention Center with Zultys (News - Alert) Senior Vice President Pierre Kerbage, he explained that this latest release adds MXconference, MXmobile, MX30 call recording and other enhancements to boost productivity and help companies cut costs.

According to Kerbage, IP PBXs eliminates the need for costly recurring subscription-based hosted conference services. MXconference is activated by licensing and provides flexible 30-port and 10-port conference bridge options with no additional servers required. MXconference also interfaces with the MXmeeting Web conference system to provide a “complete end-to-end” collaboration solution.

Responding to the call for mobiloity functionality, Kerbage said that MXmobile extends the MXIE unified communications desktop client to the BlackBerry (News - Alert). MXmobile integrates mobile workers into the corporate voice and unified communications system, providing tools such as presence, IM, internal extension dialing and corporate directory access.

MXmobile also provides least cost routing to cut calling costs buying the corporate IP PBX to initiate and carry calls that would otherwise incur special mobile charges and Kerbage said built-in call recording for the MX30 IP PBX is another significant feature of release 5.2.

According to Kerbage, the latest release is scalable to 60 ports and all new MXs that are shipping include a five-port free conference bridge. Zultys enriches its platform every four or five months, adding more features and there is “a lot more to develop,” Kerbage added.
