Vector Engineering Deploys VoSKY's PBX-to-Skype Gateway to Significantly Cut International Calling Costs

VoSKY has announced that their PBX-to-Skype (News - Alert) exchange gateway is going to help Vector Engineering, a consultant company, significantly bring down international calling costs and enable reporting on company phone usage as well as enhance intra-office communications.

Vector Engineering reportedly installed a VoSKY Exchange 9080 gateway to its ESI PBX at its office in Grass Valley (News - Alert), California, to all employees to make high-quality, free Internet-based Skype calls between their offices in different cities and different countries.

According to company officials, the gateways enable the company's remote and mobile workers to make low-cost inbound office calls from any location via Skype, with the Skype call routed over the VoSKY gateway to the company's PBX (News - Alert). Adhering to this method has also helped Vector Engineering to overcome the need to rent private intra-office lines and further increase costs savings.

VoSKY recently completed compatibility on the Mitel (News - Alert) 3300 IP Communications Platform for its Exchange PBX-Skype gateway solution and was accredited with the Mitel-Compatible Test certification in this regard.

Frank Magni, corporate IT manager for Vector Engineering has said that with offices spread across the globe their international phone bills were costly. They needed a solution which would help cut the cost significantly as well as deliver greater reporting functionality. VoSKY's (News - Alert) Exchange gateway has helped them to save a ton of money.

David Tang, Global vice president of Marketing for VoSKY also noted that VoSKY offers enterprises an easy and cost-effective way to integrate Skype into their communications network.

The gateways not only deliver considerable cost savings to companies in a managed way, but enable them to benefit from advanced functionalities, enhancing day-to-day business communications.

By using the gateways, businesses typically can realize savings of up to 90 percent over traditional telephony, freeing up funds which can be re-directed into other areas of the business.
