Panasonic Unveils KX-TDE600 All-in-One IP-PBX Communications Platform

Panasonic System Networks Company of America, a provider of business telephone systems, announced that it has introduced an all-in-one IP-PBX (News - Alert) communications platform, KX-TDE600, that’s ideal for large operations, such as manufacturing facilities, hotels, hospitals and businesses with multiple locations.

According to a press release, the KX-TDE600 converged IP-PBX system supports a range of analog, digital and IP telephony devices, and offers enhanced networking capabilities and IP functionalities that facilitate businesses to grow as well as be more productive.

Tailored for both small to large companies, the new KX-TDE600 is a scalable solution that can meet the needs of businesses with as few as 24 workers as well as operations with up to 1,100 employees. It is expandable up to 1152 Extensions and 640 COs

With the introduction of KX-TDE600, Panasonic (News - Alert) now offers three TDE communications models, namely KX-TDE100, KX-TDE200, and KX-TDE600.

These TDE communications models not only feature business telephony capability, such as mobile-phone integration, but also provide support for up to 64 IP-proprietary telephones (IP-PTs), 32 IP-Trunks via built-in hardware and 128 standard SIP phones without additional servers, said officials.

The new KX-TDE600 can support up to 992 extensions (1,152 with DXDP), while the KX-TDE100 can support up to 128 extensions and the KX-TDE200 can support up to 256 extensions.

Bill Taylor (News - Alert), president of Panasonic System Networks Company of America, said in a press release that the company’s TDE systems are not only easy to install and maintain, but can also integrate seamlessly with each other and with mobile phones, so that employees at different locations and those constantly on the move can stay in touch regardless of place.

All KX-TDE users could also leverage the company’s optional Communications Assistant productivity software that offers presence information, instant messaging (IM), VoiceMail Assistant, and more.

In addition, the KX-TDE600 platform has many IP telephone options, because it is compatible with the company’s new KX-NT400 IP network phone (featuring a 5.7-inch color touch-screen) as well as IP phones in KX-NT300 Series. Apart from IP telephones, the KX-TDE600 platform is also compatible with a range of desktop digital phones and portable DECT (News - Alert) phones from Panasonic's KX-DT300 series and KX-TD series.

Furthermore, all the TDE models that are cost effective and fully scalable can be networked together. This facilitates businesses to expand and grow at their own pace, thereby protecting communications investments. Additionally, each configuration offered by Panasonic now features the KX-TDE600 main unit as well as up to three expansion cabinets.

The main unit is provided with ten slots, which accept any type of plug-in card, such as Panasonic's Enhanced Simple VoiceMail (ESVM) cards that provide message recording and outgoing message handling capabilities. The expansion cabinet is provided with 11 open slots, said officials.
