Virtual PBX (News - Alert), an inventor and supplier of hosted PBX services, has announced the inclusion of free conferencing in all its service plans.
The new free service has already been rolled out to all clients and is instantly included for all new accounts.
"We're pleased to offer our customers this feature at no cost," Greg Brashier, chief operating officer of Virtual PBX, said.
"In today's economy, free services can be a big help and, together with the low cost of our service plans, all our clients get a lot of PBX power for a very low price."
In a Virtual PBX system, every extension has its own private conference room which can be used whenever the need arises.
The need to log into an online service and reserve a specific time or acquire and distribute PIN numbers is not required. Instead, users can password-protect their conferences at any time with any password they choose.
"Virtual PBX gives my clients that 'big company feel' even though all extensions ring to a handful of employees at home in their pajamas!" Andy Potter, founder of Hand it to Mom, said.
"The conference call bridge further extends the mirage that our company is huge and has an IT department -- we even have a conference bridge"
In addition, activity can be monitored in each conference and information on how many people are in the conference, who they are by caller ID, when they came in, and if someone drops out, can be found out by the users and systems administrators.
