Andi-Co chooses Digium's Switchvox for Improved Communication

Digium , the Asterisk (News - Alert) Company, has announced that Andi-Co , which markets and distributes kitchen and refrigeration brands Andi, Falcon and GE, has chosen Digium's (News - Alert) Switchvox business phone system to support its unified communications needs.

Designed for small- to mid-sized businesses or "SMBs," Digium's Switchvox is a feature-rich, cost-effective Internet Protocol private branch exchange or "PBX (News - Alert)" with Web-aware capabilities that enable integration with Web and back-office applications, the company said.

Switchvox changes the phone system into a powerful unified communications or "UC" platform.

Andi-Co selected Digium because of its ease of deployment, integration capabilities and competitive cost.

"It is important for all employees to be able to communicate clearly with each other regardless of their location to ensure an efficient inventory and client management process," Elbert Van Bommel, IT manager, Andi-Co, said. "With the Digium Switchvox (News - Alert), all of our 40 employees are fully connected, wherever they may be."

Andi-Co needed a platform that was able to provide an IP-based seamless connection, and Digium Switchvox proved to be the perfect solution for Andi-Co.

Ilan Rubin, director, Wavelink Communications, a distributor of Digium products, commented that Switchvox is designed for businesses that want a full-featured voice over IP phone system for hundreds of employees per server at a fraction of the cost of traditional PBXs.

Back in April Digium announced that Everything Channel's CRN Magazine has selected Switchvox SMB AA355 Voice over IP UC solution as a Top Midmarket Product, TMCnet reported .

Switchvox SMB 355 supports 400 users and up to 75 concurrent calls. It integrates features like call queues, call recording, conferencing, chat, video and presence in a single system. The solution can be installed in their existing Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert) or "SIP" telephones and hardware, company officials said.
