Redesigning can work magic for the websites and Vocalocity (News - Alert) has proved this once again. The website has recently received a makeover following which the website experienced an almost 300 percent increase in website conversion.
The effort was recognized at the 2010 Atlanta AiMA Awards, when the website, www.vocalocity.com won the "Most Effective Use of Website" award after the redesign. The credit goes to NeboWeb, an Atlanta-based interactive marketing agency that initiated this redesigning process. In redesigning the website, NeboWeb took a user-centric design and usability approach, which instantly clicked as the website enjoyed an almost 300% jump in traffic conversions.
Some of the most notable features that were in the forefront of the redesign were the inclusion of a homepage Flash mantle which interlaces a series of slow motion videos; an
intuitive, customized "request a quote" website application;, and a series of authentic user-generated video testimonials.

In addition to winning the award, the website was one of three entries to be selected as finalists for the "Best in Show" award. The other three nominees were Airtran's integrated campaign and Coke's Happiness Machine video campaign.
Although the Airtran project was ultimately selected for Best in Show, both NeboWeb and Vocalocity were honored to be finalists among a long list of outstanding entries and brands.
"We've been raving about NeboWeb's work from the day that we launched our new website, and it's good to see them getting the recognition they deserve. We challenged them to design a website that would stand out and embody the Vocalocity personality and culture, while explaining our Hosted PBX (News - Alert) offering in simple terms and focusing on conversions. They delivered on all fronts," David Politis, Executive Vice President and GM at Vocalocity observed.
As a matter of fact, the AiMA Awards were extremely competitive this year, with substantially more entries in 2010 than in previous years. Winners were selected by a panel of judges that were recruited from the press, practitioner, and academic fields with equal weight. The judges consisted of those who are actively involved in the development or evaluation of interactive marketing campaigns and also included client-side, agency and other personnel. Naturally the Nebo Web management is proud and happy with the recognition coming their way. Earlier this year, the company was awarded for being the 2009's top SEO firm.
"It's an honor to have your work awarded in front of hundreds of your peers. When we originally pitched the concept of shooting a series of high-end slow motion videos for use on a site selling small business phone systems, some people thought we were crazy. But, the Vocalocity team got behind the idea 100 percent. And at the end of the day the new site has been a big success. The sales and conversion rate metrics have been off the charts," Adam Harrell, the President of NeboWeb said.
