Provider of business and home telephone systems Panasonic System Networks Company of America has announced a new distribution agreement with NETXUSA, a distributor of VoIP products and services.
The new distribution alliance is expected to provide wireless SIP end-point solutions that are customized for the Digium reseller and Broadsoft carrier channels.
"Our distribution agreement with NETXUSA emphasizes Panasonic's (News - Alert) focus on the SIP open source and hosted markets," said Kim Murtagh, director at Panasonic System Networks Company of America.
Initially, the Panasonic products available from NETXUSA will include the new SIP Cordless Phone System (TGP500/550), an open-source VoIP cordless system that is certified on Digium (News - Alert), the Asterisk and Broadsoft's Broadworks platforms.
The solution "effectively" addresses the need for a small and medium business (SMB) wireless end-point solution for the hosted service provider market and open source community, said Eric Todd, CTO at NETXUSA (News - Alert).
Todd said that the Panasonic SIP Cordless System provides a simple configuration setup that is required for the Service Provider market by avoiding the use of complex configuration files, overly involved phone pairing and multiple parts to build a working solution for the SMB customer.
Panasonic's new SIP Cordless phone system will be added to the extensive portfolio of supported devices for plug and play deployment. NETXUSA delivers this portfolio through ChannelWare, its provisioning and professional services platform.
NETXUSA delivers a complete pre-configured solution of IP communications products from leading technology companies, including Adtran, Audiocodes, Broadsoft, Cisco (News - Alert), Digium, Edgewater Networks and Polycom.
Earlier this year in February, NETXUSA extended its long-standing partnership with BroadSoft (News - Alert) by offering BroadSoft PacketSmart solutions to its customer base of service providers and value added resellers (VARs).
